Local business helps out wounded soldiers

Liberty Tax helps wounded soldiers

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - A local business did its part today to help soldiers in need. Liberty Tax in Lake Charles held a roadside party to benefit the wounded warrior project.

Music played while children enjoyed a bounce house, as liberty tax employees collected lightly used clothing to donate to the wounded warrior project. The business also gave out free tax return certificates, T-shirts and free food donated by local restaurants.

The Liberty Tax locations are locally owned and host charity events throughout the year.

"We all have to get our taxes done, and it's a great place to do your taxes and know that your money is also going to help other charities," said owner Amanda Price. "We're corporate sponsors for March of Dimes. We do Cell Phones for Soldiers. We also do American Cancer Society. There are several different charities that you're able to give back to while you're also getting your taxes done."
