Man sentenced for vehicular homicide

The following is Press Release from the Calcasieu Parish District Attorney's Office: 

On January 27, 2012, Judge D. Kent Savoie sentenced Byron Nora to serve 15 years in the Louisiana Department of Corrections for Vehicular Homicide. 

He ordered three years to be served without the benefit of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence.  Judge Savoie also ordered Nora to serve seven years in the Louisiana Department of Corrections for Simple Robbery. 

Judge Savoie ordered the sentences to run consecutively, for a total of 22 years. 

Assistant District Attorney David Kimball prosecuted the case.
