Wilfred Lee Edwards sentenced to 25 years

The following is a Press Release from the Calcasieu Parish District Attorney:

On January 25, 2012, Judge D. Kent Savoie sentenced Wilfred Lee Edwards to serve twenty five (25) years in the Louisiana Department of Corrections without the benefit of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence.

On November 9, 2011, Edwards entered a guilty plea to Manslaughter.  Assistant District Attorney David Kimball prosecuted the case.  Edwards was convicted of the 2010 shooting death of Aldwin Smith.
