Lake Charles man arrested for failure to register

The following is a Press Release from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office:

On January 10, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office Compliance and Awareness Unit (CAP Unit) arrested sex offender Steven A. Senters, 56, of Lake Charles, after an investigation revealed he had moved without notifying the proper authorities within three (3) days, as required by law for all registered sex offenders.

He was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with failure to register as a sex offender.

Senters was convicted of aggravated crimes against nature in New Orleans in April 2005.

Judge Wilford Carter set his bond at $1,500.

CPSO Detective Scott Miller is the lead investigator on this case.
