Two from Iowa arrested in connection with burglaries

The following is a Press Release from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office:

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office Vehicle Crimes Unit recently launched an investigation after receiving reports of over 30 vehicle burglaries in the eastern Lake Charles / Iowa area, including Highway 14 East, PE Daigle Road, McCown Road, and Manchester Road, from December 17 through December 27.  The victims reported several items, including electronics, purses, wallets, credit cards, and seven (7) firearms, were stolen out of their unlocked vehicles.

After further investigation, detectives arrested Darion A. Noble, 17, and Dion D. Noble, 18, both of Iowa, in connection with the vehicle burglaries.   On January 10, detectives executed a search warrant at their home and recovered several electronic items that were reported stolen.  Detectives also obtained video surveillance from a local store which captured Darion and Dion Noble using a credit card reported stolen from one of the victims' unlocked vehicles.

Both were arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with 20 counts of burglary; 20 counts of theft; 7 counts theft of firearms; and 2 counts unauthorized use of access card.  Their bonds are still pending.

CPSO Detective Jake Cauvin is the lead investigator on this case.  The investigation is continuing with more arrests possible.
