A crash Tuesday morning in Allen Parish claimed the lives of two teens from Ville Platte.

The following is a Press Release from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office:

On January 8, at approximately 10:00 p.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office deputies were dispatched to a convenience store on Highway 12 in Starks in reference to a robbery.

When deputies arrived, they spoke with the store clerk who advised a man, later identified as Andy L. Gibson, 32, of Vinton, entered the store and demanded money while simulating he had a gun in his pocket.  After stealing an undisclosed amount of money, Gibson fled the store on foot.

Gibson was located at his home and when questioned by deputies, he confirmed the allegations.  He was arrested without incident and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with first degree robbery.

His bond is still pending.

CPSO Cpl. Jonathan Ruffin was the arresting deputy on this case.
