Planning Department asks residents to report current flood damage

The following is a press release from the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury:

January 10, 2012 – The Calcasieu Parish Office of Planning and Zoning is requesting residents whose property-structure (excluding outdoor areas) experienced flooding as a result from Monday evening's rain event to report their information by accessing the Police Jury's website.

Affected residents may go to the "I Want To" tab at the top of the Parish Website and scroll down to "Report Flood Damage" to fill out a flood damage form. The following web address is a direct link to the form:

Information gathered from this request will be used to as reference material that will help better prepare for future flooding events. This information will not be used for emergency assistance or rescue purposes.
