The Fairfield Inn is being renovated after recently receiving a permit from the city of sulphur.
Tarp was used to cover the building for protection as they take off the stucco walls. A mold abatement team had come in to deal with what they saw in October 2011.
Mayor Chris Duncan said you never know what you will see once renovations take place and more insides are unearthed.
The renovations will take about 10 weeks to be completed. The Fairfield inn will not reopen to guests until they receive a Certificate of Occupancy from the city. Renovations are expected to be completed by the spring.
