Davis and Saltzman murder trial continues - KPLC 7 News, Lake Charles, Louisiana

Davis and Saltzman murder trial continues

Judge David Ritchie has ruled the continuance of the trial of Robyn Little Davis and Carol Sissy Saltzman did NOT create a double jeopardy situation which would prevent the women's trial from going forward.

Now defense attorney Glen Vamvoras is arguing that the indefinite continuance caused prejudice against the women and justifies the charges being thrown out. However the state's Carla Sigler argues their objection to a continuance is no basis to quash or throw out the indictments.

The hearing will not finish until Wednesday, January 18th at 1:30 p.m.
