Homicide victim's mother has her own opinion of events

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - The mother of Bridgette Tillman Pryor tells KPLC News that her daughter was mixed up with the wrong people.

Police won't release details how Pryor knew the other victim LaDoux but family members of Pryor said, "She gave Carla a place to stay while Carla was getting herself together".

Mark Thibodeaux is still being sought after by police.

Lake Charles Police have named a suspect in the murders of two women found dead on North Prater Street Wednesday morning.

Police are now looking for 52-year-old Mark Wayne Thibodeaux, he's wanted on two counts of 2nd degree murder.

Police have also identified the two victims as 54-year-old Bridgette Pryor who lived at the home on 1110 North Prater Street, and 25-year-old Carla Ladoux of Lake Charles.

Investigators are not saying what lead to the killings or why they suspect Thibodeaux in the deaths of the two women found around 5:30am.

Authorities spent the day looking for evidence in a half-block radius of the home. Detectives had also served search warrants for homes near the crime scenes.

The discoveries marked the first homicides of the year in Lake Charles.
