LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -

UPDATE: KPLC's Olivia Vidal is at the press conference in reference to the murder of 62-year-old Joseph Sias.

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office stated that they have made an arrest of 52-year-old Darlene Sias.

Officials say she turned herself in last night around 11:30 p.m. for killing her husband.

Her bond is set at $1-million. No details about how he was murdered have been released.

We will continue to keep you updated as more information becomes available.

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office is still investigating a murder at the 5700 block of California Trail, east of Lake St. and south of University.

The victim has been identified as 62-year-old Joseph Sias.

The Coroner's Office has not completed its autopsy or investigation, but there is ample evidence and Sheriff Mancuso said they should expect some more answers within the next few days.

As for the cause of death or the details in Sias' death, that has not been released.

"We have what we believe are some very promising leads that we're trying to follow up on and confirm. One of those is some blood tests we want to do in our lab which is going to take us 12 to 15 hours to confirm," Mancuso said. "That may help us lead to an arrest."
