LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - A fiery, two-vehicle crash early Sunday in the eastbound lanes of the Interstate 210 bridge shut down traffic for about an hour but caused no serious injuries, state police said.

A Sulphur man was later arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated in the crash, state police Sgt. James Anderson said.

Brett Harris Fruge, 30, of Sulphur, apparently hit another vehicle, causing a fire and shutting down traffic. Police said Fruge took off after the accident but was caught a short while later.

He also was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle.
