CPSO Arrests Man for Failure to Register

The following is a Press Release from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office:

On November 30, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office Compliance and Awareness Unit (CAP Unit) arrested registered sex offender Mark W. Williams, 52, of Lake Charles, after an investigation revealed he had moved without notifying the proper authorities within three (3) days, as required by law for all registered sex offenders.

He was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with failure to register as a sex offender.

Williams was convicted of sexual battery in Calcasieu Parish in December 1989.

Judge David Ritchie set his bond at $100,000.
