CPSO CAP Unit Arrests Man for Failure to Register

The following is a Press Release from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office:

On November 29th, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office Compliance and Awareness Unit (CAP Unit) arrested registered sex offender Terrell M. Humphrey, 35, of Lake Charles, after an investigation revealed he had moved without notifying the proper authorities within three days, as required by law for all registered sex offenders.

He was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with failure to register as a sex offender.

Humphrey was convicted of molestation of a juvenile in Jeff Davis Parish in December 1996.

Judge David Ritchie set his bond at $100,000.

CPSO Detective Sgt. Scott Miller is the lead investigator on this case.
