$453K bond set for alleged protective-order violations

The following is a Press Release from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office:

On November 23, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office arrested Jeffrey M. Huffman, 41, of Lake Charles, after he violated a protective order filed in January 2010.

CPSO detectives received a report from a woman advising she had recently received numerous harassing and intimidating phone calls from Huffman, with whom she had an active protective order against.  Further investigation revealed Huffman had contacted the victim on the telephone 906 times since August.

Huffman, who has had numerous arrests for violation of protective order since 2010, was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with 906 counts of violation of a protective order.

Judge Michael Canaday set his bond at $453,000.
