Lafayette Police Investigate Parking Lot Robbery

The following is a Press Release from the Lafayette Police Department:

On November 21, 2011, at approximately 11:15 p.m., Lafayette Police responded to the 100 block of West Willow Street regarding an armed robbery.

The victim, an 18-year-old female, had just secured a toddler inside of her car, when two black males approached her.

One of the suspects began to struggle with the victim, at which time the second suspect produced a handgun and struck the victim in the head.

The suspects stole money from the victim's pockets and fled the area on foot.

The suspects are described as both black males, approximately 5'8" with a medium build.

The victim drove herself to an area hospital where she was treated and released for an abrasion to her head.

Investigators with the Lafayette Police Department are asking anyone with information about the incident or the identity of the suspect to contact the Lafayette Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
