LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - Several new websites devoted to Southwest Louisiana communities were launched by KPLC.

Eight new local sites are now online.

KPLC Community Web Producer Kadi Hanes is leading the new efforts for KPLC.

"I have enjoyed working to create Neighborhood News for the viewers, and I look forward to seeing how they react to it," Hanes said. "This is a great way for KPLC to become more involved with the community."

This site gives viewers a chance to choose their neighborhood, and receive only content and news happening within that neighborhood.  Many of the stories seen on the sites will be exclusive to KPLC Neighborhood News.

If you have an event coming up or something of interest that's happening near you, you can snap a picture and tell us about it. Send us content at news@kplctv.com! KPLC wants to be part of your neighborhood through these additional new media platforms.
