CPSO releases names of three victims in Vinton fatality crash

The following is a Press Release from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office:

The three men who were victims of the fatality crash in the 1900 block of Big Wood Edgerly  Rd. in Vinton Saturday morning around 5:00 have been identified as:

 Davon Parish, 17, 4360 La Highway 12, Starks

 Jacob T. Barks, 21, 4867 Lou Farley Rd., Starks

 Jayce A. Dorman, 16, (formerly of Starks), 219 Woodridge Dr., Canyon, TX

The investigation revealed a single vehicle accident occurred when a truck crossed the center line and ran off the road, hitting a tree and catching fire.

The three victims, who were still in the truck when deputies arrived, were pronounced dead at the scene.  A fourth person, Shannon T. Barks, 17, Starks, was able to get out of the truck. 

CPSO Cpl. Luke Pierrotti is the lead investigator of this accident.

    A flipped vehicle is causing traffic to back up on 210 eastbound at the Ryan Street exit. Witnesses say multiple vehicles were involved in the accident and the turned-over vehicle is still in the eastbound lanes. Use an alternate route, if possible. Copyright 2017 KPLC. All rights reserved.
