LC Police ongoing investigation for attempted 2nd degree murder

The following is a Press Release from the Lake Charles Police Department:

On October 27, 2011 at approximately 11:30 p.m., the Lake Charles Police Department received an emergency call in the 1800 block of Mill Street in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, Corporal Michael Whitfield found the victim lying on the ground next to the street.

The initial investigation revealed that the victim had been shot multiple times. The suspect then fled the scene in a vehicle. It is believed that the shooing was the result of an altercation that occurred a short time earlier. The victim was transported to a local hospital by ambulance. The investigation is ongoing.

 


 

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - The Lake Charles police department are investigating a crime that took place on the 1800 block of Mill Street.

Around 11:30 Thursday night, police were investigating on the corner of Mill and Goos.

Police found several shotgun shells on the scene.
