Pro bono program volunteers to conduct statewide Day of Service

Attorneys across Southwest Louisiana have been working with the Bar Foundation to bring pro-bono services to people who can't afford an attorney.

The events allow people to have one on one session to receive advice in order to move forward with their legal matters.

"Here is a day for citizens to come and get some help. Some assistance where they're not rushed for time, and they're not short circuited in their questions. We listen for free and attorneys don't normally work for free," Attorney Kendrick Guidry, said.

They hosted a free clinic on October 27th at the Carnegie Library in Lake Charles. The next pro-bono event will take place on November 3rd from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Iowa library.
