Jennings gets a new Deputy Chief

JENNINGS, LA (KPLC) - The Jennings Police Department gets a new Deputy Chief.

His name is Danny Semmes, he's been an investigator with the Jennings Police Department since 2008.

Earlier this week we told you about the decision by the City Council to create the new position.

The goal of adding a Deputy Chief to the payroll is to make the department more productive and efficient.

Chief Todd D'Albor told us he was glad the idea passed since he needs someone he can rely on to fill in when necessary.

KPLC's Victoria Waterman is in Jennings for the announcement and will have a full report on later editions of 7News.
