LA 12 lane closures - KPLC 7 News, Lake Charles, Louisiana

LA 12 lane closures

CALCASIEU PARISH, LA (KPLC) -

Beginning Tuesday, October 18th, from 8:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. daily alternating lane closures are scheduled on LA 12 from the Texas Line to LA 109 at Starks. 

Work will continue through Thursday, October 20th, while maintenance crews complete repair work on the roadway surface.

Motorists are urged to use caution and follow all construction signs while driving through the construction zone and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.

    Flu season is upon us.  But according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, South Carolina, Mississippi and Louisiana are already seeing high levels of flu activity. "Our ER director here at the hospital mentioned to me today that we've seen definitely in the last two weeks an increase in cases," said Christus St. Patrick's Infectious Disease Specialist, Dr. Timothy Haman. "Two to three to four patients a day, and we saw six yesterday."  H...More >>
