VINTON, LA (KPLC) - The Vinton Heritage Festival kicked off its annual celebration on Saturday, October 8 in downtown Vinton.
Vinton Mayor Kenneth Stinson said the festival is a way to bring the community together through. The festival was free to the public and festival-goers enjoyed music, good food and games.
"We always wanted to give back to the community," Stinson said.
Special guest appearances at the festival included Gumbeaux Gator and Liz the Gator Queen.
The festival continues into the evening until 9 p.m.
