Arrests from Sulphur Police

The following is a Press Release from the Sulphur Police Department:

Sulphur Police Department reported from September 27- October 3, 2011 that officers of the department investigated thirteen traffic accidents reporting one injury and issued twenty-five traffic citations.

Officers also responded to several other incidents resulting in twenty-two arrests, including four arrests for driving while under the influence. 

Walter Paul Jones, Black Male, Age 27 of East Burton Street, Sulphur was arrested and booked into the Sulphur City Jail for theft of goods, interfering with an investigation and resisting arrest.

Eboni Lashae Sneed, Black Female, Age 23 of East Burton Street, Sulphur was arrested and booked into the Sulphur City Jail for theft of goods, disturbing the peace by public intoxication, and resisting arrest.

Russell Vincent, White Male, Age 50 of Lewis Street, Sulphur was arrested and booked into the Sulphur City Jail for hit and run, simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Victoria Gael Allen, White Female, Age 23 of East Quail Hollow Street, Lake Charles was arrested and booked into the Sulphur City Jail for theft of goods.

Joseph Adam Sullivan, Black Male, Age 27 of Jumonville Street, New Orleans, Louisiana was arrested and booked into the Sulphur City Jail for improper lane use, following too close and possession with the intent to distribute marijuana.

Christopher Dewayne Bennett, White Male, Age 34 of West Railroad Ave, Lake Charles was arrested and booked into the Sulphur City Jail for theft.

Joseph Alcide Stutes, White Male, Age 57 of West Carlton Street, Sulphur was arrested and booked into the Sulphur City Jail for theft of utilities.  

Frankie Lynn Broussard, White Male, Age 55 of East Mimosa Street, Sulphur was arrested and booked into the Sulphur City Jail for failure to register gun with DPS and aggravated assault.

Anthony J. Spears, Black Male, Age 31 of North Railroad Ave, Lake Charles was arrested and booked into the Sulphur City Jail for driving while under suspension and open container violation.

Charles R. McNabb, White Male, Age 48 of East Burton Street, Sulphur was arrested and booked into the Sulphur City Jail for disturbing the peace by public intoxication and for outstanding warrants and five counts of contempt of court.

Katina Marie Trahan, White Female, Age 37, of North Beglis Parkway was arrested and booked into the Sulphur City Jail for four counts of possession with the intent to distribute CDS schedule III drugs, use of CDS drugs in the present of minors and distribution of CDS schedule of CDS schedule IV drugs.

Jessica Lynn Ramos, White Female, Age 30 of Carr Lane, Sulphur was arrested and booked into the Sulphur City Jail for careless operation and driving while under the influence child endangerment.

Gerald Ryan Allemand, White Male, Age 22 of Sara Street, Sulphur was arrested and booked into the Sulphur City Jail for disturbing the peace.

James Douglas Runte, White Male, Age 28 of Arlington Drive, Lake Charles was arrested and booked into the Sulphur City Jail for driving while under the influence.

Fredrick J. Fenner, Black Male, Age 24 of Kingsley Street, Lake Charles was arrested and booked into the Sulphur City Jail for theft of goods.

Amanda Gail Istre, White Female, Age 28 of West Carlton Street, Sulphur was arrested and booked into the Sulphur City Jail for theft of goods.

William Alton Jones, White Male, Age 48 of Royal Oak Lane, Sulphur was arrested and booked into the Sulphur City Jail for an outstanding bench warrant and contempt of court.

Alcides Nieves-Vargus, White Male, Age 27 of South Cities Service Hwy., Sulphur was arrested and booked into the Sulphur City Jail for speeding, no driver's license, outstanding bench warrant, contempt of court and driving while under the influence.

Peter Lee Hawkins, Black Male, Age 18 of South Beglis Pkw, Sulphur was arrested and booked into the Sulphur City Jail for simple possession of marijuana.

Valdo Clarence Hahn, White Male, Age 26 of Henning Drive, Sulphur was arrested and booked into the Sulphur City Jail for simple possession of marijuana.

Chase Robert Chesson, White Male, Age 18 of South Rosemont Street, Sulphur was arrested and booked into the Sulphur City Jail for simple possession of marijuana, simple battery and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Cynthia Marie Hunt, White Female, Age 49 of James Street, Sulphur was arrested and booked into the Sulphur City Jail for stopping and standing in roadway, no drivers license and driving while under the influence.

    Flu season is upon us.  But according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, South Carolina, Mississippi and Louisiana are already seeing high levels of flu activity. "Our ER director here at the hospital mentioned to me today that we've seen definitely in the last two weeks an increase in cases," said Christus St. Patrick's Infectious Disease Specialist, Dr. Timothy Haman.
