CPSO arrests man for 2nd degree cruelty to a Juvenile

The following is a Press Release from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office:

On September 30, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office received a complaint from the Department of Children and Family Services in reference to a 2-year-old boy who had been brought to a local doctor's office with a spiral fracture to his upper arm.

During the investigation it was revealed Vincent N. Brown, Sr., 43, of Lake Charles, a family member of the child, had grabbed and picked the child up by the arm, causing the fracture.

Brown was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with 2nd degree cruelty to a juvenile. 

Judge Kent Savoie set his bond at $200,000.

CPSO Detective Kathy LeBlanc is the lead investigator on this case.
