The following is a Press Release from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office:

On September 27, detectives with the Combined Anti-Drug Task Force (C.A.T. Team) executed two search warrants at 1018 and 1018 ½ Fall Street in Lake Charles, after an investigation revealed multiple incidents of drugs activity at the homes.

During the search of the homes, Craig A. Thomas, 41, 1018 Fall St.; and Carolyn A. Thomas, 58, 1018 ½ Fall Street were arrested.  Michael R. Smith, Jr., 33,  1018 Fall Street; and Dana L. Williams, 41, 717 Murray Street, all of Lake Charles, were released on a summons. 

Craig A. Thomas is charged with possession with intent of CDS II (crack cocaine).  Judge Wilford Carter set his bond at $5,000.   

Carolyn A. Thomas is charged with possession with intent of CDS III (hydrocodone); possession of marijuana; and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Judge Carter set her bond at $2,500.

Smith and Williams are both charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

    The annual rabies clinic hosted by the Calcasieu Parish Policy Jury and Calcasieu Parish Animal Services was held at Burton Coliseum Saturday morning. The event was originally scheduled for Apr. 14 but was canceled due to rain. Hundreds of pet owners lined up in the parking lot to get their cats and dogs vaccinated at the low-cost event.     A Jennings man has been arrested after barricading himself and a hostage in a residence, according to Chief Deputy Christopher Ivey with Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff's Office. At approximately 5:50 a.m. on Sunday, JDPSO responded to a hostage and barricaded subject with a firearm on South Cutting Avenue in Jennings.     A man has been arrested after a high-speed chase with multiple local law enforcement agencies on Saturday, according to Sgt. James Anderson with Louisiana State Police. A state trooper attempted to pull over a vehicle on I-10 for speeding when they did not stop, says Anderson.
