Pedestrian hit while crossing the street

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -

A woman suffered moderate injuries Tuesday afternoon when she was hit by a car while crossing Ryan Street near McNeese State University, according to Lake Charles Police.

Police say the woman was using a crosswalk near McDonald's when she was hit by a vehicle. The driver of that vehicle was cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian.
