DeQuincy OMV opens back to 5 days a week

DEQUINCY, LA (KPLC) -

The City of DeQuincy held a grand reopening of their Office of Motor Vehicles. Nearly one year ago, officials decided to close the DeQuincy OMV on Tuesdays and Thursdays each week. Today, September 22, 2011, things changed and the doors will now be open five days a week - Monday thru Friday.

The hours of operation will be from 8am-12noon and again 1-4pm (they are closed for lunch).

The change took place after a longtime employee, Cathy Mears, passed away suddenly. The office had schedule cutbacks soon afterward.
