Acadia Sheriff's Office ongoing investigations

The following is a Press Release from the Acadia Sheriff's Office:

NEWS RELEASE 

Acadia Parish Sheriff Wayne Melancon stated that his office is investigating the following incidents:

September 20, 2011

-Persons illegally hunting on private property, Standard Mill Road, Crowley.

-Wanted person, Edward Joseph Boast, Joseph Street, Church Point.  Bench warrant issued for failure to appear in District Court.

-Wanted person, Perry W. Robinson, G Street, Duson.  Bench warrant issued for failure to appear in District Court.

-Theft from a motor vehicle, 2100 block of L Boudreaux Road, Rayne.

-Suspicious person, 1000 block of Pearl Street, Rayne.

-Motor vehicle accident, Quarter Pole & S Richfield, Rayne.

-Attempted theft of iron from a commercial business, 1200 block of W 2nd Street, Crowley.

-Suspicious person outside residence, 100 block of Gobel Road, Egan.

September 19, 2011

-Loud music early morning hours. 100 block of Faith Lane, Church Point.

-Threatening telephone calls, 500 block of Link Road, Branch.

-Disturbance, 100 block of Dove Street, Rayne.

-Ultra light plane crashed in field, Riverside Road, Jennings.  Deputies reported that the pilot failed to switch fuel tanks causing the plane to crash.   No injuries were reported.

-Off road vehicles on roadway, St. Jules & Riverside Road, Iota.  Three juveniles were issued citations for 4 wheelers on roadway.

-Threatening telephone calls, 300 block of Morris Avenue, Estherwood.

-Disturbance, Kathy Apartment Complex, Crowley.  Citation for simple battery was issued to a 14 year old juvenile who was released into the custody of a parent.

-A warrant has been issued for Aaron Jude Gautreaux, age 34, Crowley for failure to register as a sex offender.

-Theft from a motor vehicle at a commercial business, 100 block of Industrial Drive, Rayne.

-Residential burglary, 1000 block of Schule Road, Crowley.

-Theft of a generator, 200 block of Civil Road, Rayne.
