88-year-old woman's stolen car found

WESTLAKE, LA (KPLC) -

An elderly woman's stolen classic car has been found in Mossville.

On Thursday morning in Westlake, Louisiana, 88-year-old Particular Bowers woke up in her Westlake Elderly Apartment home to find her car had been stolen. Bowers owns a champagne color 1983 Oldsmobile Delta 88.

Priscilla's son Joe Bowers says, "It was a classic car. It was beautiful. We just had it repainted last year as a matter of fact. It was champagne color and my mom just loved that car"!

Bowers says the car was there Wednesday night when she went to bed and seen in its parking space at 1 o'clock Thursday morning.

Priscilla's neighbor and close friend Freddie Chaney says, "I didn't see her car at 4:30 in the morning.  I thought she went to the hospital or something happened to her and I was worried about that".

Authorities say the car was found near Prader and Prince Streets in Mossville. It was towed away for crime scene analysis. It will eventually be returned to Mrs. Bowers.
