Cameron Parish keeping watch for wind, flooding

CAMERON, LA (KPLC) - As Tropical Storm Lee spins along the coast, Cameron Parish OEP is monitoring conditions for any trouble.  Cameron Parish Director of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness Eddie Benoit said Saturday residents should be prepared for winds in the range of 15-25 mph.

Benoit said wind gusts in the rain bands could range from 40-45 mph. Residents living in campers who do not feel safe should monitor the conditions and seek shelter elsewhere.

Rain totals of 1-2 inches will remain through Sunday.  Tides should be below normal  through Sunday. Cameron Parish could see tropical storm conditions for the next 12-24 hours.
