Investigators said they collected 49 pairs of tennis shoes when they searched the home of LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson on Wednesday.
The Baton Rouge Police Department said one pair was the sneakers Jefferson was wearing early Friday morning when a fight broke out near a bar not far from campus.
A police source said investigators are trying to see if any of Jefferson's shoes match an imprint found on the shirt of one of the young men injured in the fight.
The shoes were seized during the execution of a search warrant of Jefferson's residence.
Investigators added no arrests are expected Thursday.
