STOUGHTON, MA (WCVB/CNN) - A Mississippi man travels 1,400 miles for pizza.
"It's the crust, the way they make the crust - it is so tender - and the way the sauce on the pizza is different than anything around here," said David Schuler, who loves Town Pizza.
Schuler drove 1,400 miles from his Mississippi home to Stoughton, MA for the pizza. He ordered 150 vacuum-sealed pies for takeout.
"It's amazing. I didn't know exactly what he wanted the 150 for - we have plenty of people come in for 20 or 35, but not 100 or 150," said Richard Phillips of Town Spa Restaurant. "He did it last year with 100."
The former Stoughton man says the 24-hour drive is worth the trip.
The restaurant says the recipe is simple. They use fresh ingredients, Wisconsin cheese and California tomatoes cooked to perfection in pizza ovens.
