Lake Charles woman accused in lingerie theft

The following is a news release from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office.

On August 12, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office deputies were dispatched to an apartment complex on McNeese Street in reference to multiple thefts of undergarments from multiple victims.

When deputies arrived and spoke with two of the victims, they alleged Teresa C. Gonzales, 40, 1515 W. McNeese Street, Apt. # 6, Lake Charles, stole multiple pairs of their panties out of the dryer in the apartment complex laundry room.

During the investigation, deputies spoke with Gonzales and conducted a search of her apartment where several pairs of women's panties were recovered from her bedroom.  The victims confirmed that some of those panties belonged to them.

Gonzales was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with theft $500--$1,500; and 2 counts of theft under $500.

CPSO Deputy Kenneth Raimer is the arresting deputy in this case.  CPSO Detective Shannon Chesson is the lead investigator on this case.
