For many people, foot problems can be very painful and even embarrassing hindrances in their lives, making "a day at the beach" seem like anything but. To learn more about various types of foot problems such as bunions, flat feet, Achilles tendonitis, hammer toes and plantar fasciitis, join Scott Hofer, DO, an orthopaedic surgeon on staff at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, for The Agony of the Feet, a free seminar.
A graduate of Arizona State University and the Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California, Dr. Hofer completed his internship at Tulane University Medical Center and his orthopedic residency at William Beaumont Army Medical Center/Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso, Texas. He is board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery with a subspecialty certification in Sports Medicine and has completed additional subspecialty training in foot and ankle surgery at Texas Orthopedic Hospital.
The Agony of the Feet will be held Thursday, July 28 at 12 noon in the Shearman Conference Center at Memorial Hospital on Oak Park Boulevard. A light lunch will be served, and reservations are required at least 24 hours in advance.
