LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - A Lake Charles man was taken to a hospital for treatment after he was found suffering a gunshot wound on Interstate 10 westbound near Orange, Texas.
Officers with the Orange Police Department responded to mile marker 873 on I-10 in east Texas in regards to a shooting around 1:50 a.m. on Tuesday. When they arrived on the scene, officers found a tractor truck tanker wedged against the center median with a GMC pickup truck between it and the median.
An officer found the driver of the tractor trailer suffering a gunshot wound. The driver, an unidentified Lake Charles resident, was taken to an area hospital for treatment of what officials say is non life threatening injuries.
The driver of the pickup, a 32-year-old resident of Spring, Texas, was questioned by investigators of the Orange Police Department. He was released pending further investigation.
The investigation into the incident continues.
