LAKE CHARLES, La. — L'Auberge du Lac Casino Resort, a luxury 242-acre Texas Hill Country-themed resort in Lake Charles, Louisiana, announces the appointment of Assistant General Manager and Vice President of Casino Operations Keith W. Henson to the board of directors for the Chamber Southwest Louisiana. Henson's term, effective immediately, extends through December 2011. He replaces Senior Vice President and General Manager Geno Iafrate on the board. Iafrate is traveling more as he assumes statewide oversight duties for Pinnacle Entertainment. Henson attended his first official meeting June 20, 2011.
Henson directs all day to day operations at L'Auberge, which includes a 26-story hotel complex with approximately 1,000 rooms and suites, championship golf course, full service spa, extensive meeting space and a casino featuring 63 table games and 1,600 slot machines.
Henson joined Pinnacle Entertainment in 1997 and has excelled in a variety of challenging positions, most recently as a President's Associate managing special projects for Pinnacle CEO Anthony Sanfilippo. Previously, Henson was Senior Director of Human Resources at L'Auberge and part of the property's key opening team for its flagship resort operation. In that role, he designed and implemented the successful Ladies and Gents of L'Auberge program, which is beverage service with an entertainment component.
Henson's extensive gaming experience includes positions as corporate Vice President of Casino Operations and corporate Vice President of Relationship Marketing for Pinnacle. He began his career with Pinnacle at Boomtown Hotel & Casino in Reno, Nevada where he held a variety of positions ranging from Dealer to Slot Attendant to Senior Director of Marketing and Slot Operations. Henson gained valuable insights into the racetrack industry working in a variety of positions at Ruidoso Downs Racetrack & Casino in Ruidoso Downs, New Mexico; including Director of Casino Operations.
Henson lives in Lake Charles with his wife and daughter.
