George "J." Trappey IV, MD, orthopaedic surgeon with Center for Orthopaedics, participated in two research studies which were recently published in medical journals. One study involved a systematic review of the clinical outcomes of single row versus double row rotator cuff repairs and it was published in the March issue of the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery. In the other study, Dr. Trappey investigated the instability and infection rates after reverse shoulder arthroplasty. This study was published in the November, 2010 issue of Clinical Orthopaedic and Related Research, a peer review journal of the The Association of Bone and Joint Surgeons. Dr. Trappey is a fellowship-trained shoulder surgeon who joined the Center for Orthopaedics in 2010.
