LSU System tuition increase approved

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

The LSU Board of Supervisors approved a tuition increase for the LSU System for 2011-2012.

The increase will total $13.8 million.

The hike applies to the 2011 Fall semester and the 2012 Spring semester for all LSU campuses -- in Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Eunice, Shreveport and Alexandria.

The LSU System includes five LSU schools, the LSU Law School and Health Sciences in Shreveport and New Orleans.

  • LSU Baton Rouge Campus -- $144/semester
  • LSU Eunice -- $50/semester
  • LSU Alexandria -- $95/semester
  • University of New Orleans -- $120/semester
  • LSU Shreveport -- $106/semester
  • LSUHSC Shreveport -- $329
  • LSUHSC New Orleans Medical School -- $387/semester
  • LSUHSC New Orleans Dental School -- $331/semester
  • LSU Law School -- 4% increase/semester
