Diamond Cowboys Take Series from Central Arkansas

LAKE CHARLES (KPLC) - Behind solid starting pitching from Dustin Lloyd, lights out relief pitching and a six run sixth inning, the McNeese State baseball team took a 9-6 Southland Conference victory from Central Arkansas on Sunday. The win gave the Pokes a 2 games to 1 weekend series win. McNeese is now a game above .500, at 15-14 and are 6-6 in league play. Central Arkansas fell to 13-16 and to 4-8. Jace Peterson, who extended his hitting streak to 15 games, Lee Orr and Seth Granger all had two hits and Granger drove in three runs while Orr plated two.
