Large controlled burn sends smoke into Lake Area

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) – A 3,000 acre controlled burn in Vernon Parish is blamed for sending heavy smoke into the Lake Area Monday night.

The smoke was into the area by winds out of the north.
