
Mohammad Khan, M.D. with the CHRISTUS St. Patrick Medical Group Hematology and Oncology Clinic will be giving out free, at-home tests for colorectal cancer on Wednesday, March 2 to help raise awareness of Colorectal Cancer Month in March. The first 100 people to stop by Dr. Khan's office between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. will receive this free test to be conducted at home.
Colorectal cancer, also known as colon cancer, is the second leading cause of cancer in the United States; however, if detected early, this cancer can be cured. If you are 50 years of age or older, have a family history of colon cancer or have a history of ulcerative colitis or Crohn's Disease, it is recommended that you are screened for Colorectal Cancer.
