New Millennium Park plan

By David Bray - email

LAKE CHARELS, LA (KPLC) – Just weeks after a fire devastated the Millennium Park, the Lake Charles City Council got a glimpse Tuesday night of a bigger and better park.

Mayor Randy Roach says the site map outlines a park that would  be moved slightly, to a make it the centerpiece of a new park that will boast additional attractions, like a spray park, a tricycle track, and a play area for older kids.

Mayor Roach added that the design concept would make the new park about twice the size of the original. And that the project would be funded with public donations, insurance money, and city funds.
