The following is a news release from the Louisiana State Police:

NEW LLANO – On Tuesday, a New Llano man was arrested for possessing child pornography as part of the continuing effort titled Operation Child Watch.

Detectives with the Lake Charles Field Office of the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations conducted a peer to peer investigation (computer file sharing) which resulted in a search warrant for a residence in New Llano, Louisiana, in Vernon Parish.

With assistance from the Alexandria Field Office of the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations and the Vernon Parish Sheriff's Office, detectives executed the search warrant and located several computers as well as an external hard drive.  A forensic examination of the external hard drive revealed the presence of child pornography.

Troopers arrested 38-year-old Francis Buckner Jr., and charged him with pornography involving juveniles.  Buckner was booked into the Vernon Parish Jail.

The mission of Operation Child Watch is to rescue children from the potential abuse of child predators by targeting those individuals with sexually explicit images and/or videos on their computers.  This is an ongoing effort, in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies in our state.

By sunset this evening the temperatures will start to go down and rain will come to an end. Overnight we will be left with mostly cloudy skies and temperatures in the mid to upper 70s. Rain chances are down to 20% overnight. On Monday will have rain chances go back down to 30%. The same upper level high pressure will be migrating back south closer to our area and will limit, but not quite eliminate, our rain chances. Rain chances are best in the afternoon.
