CPSO makes cocaine bust on I-10 near Sulphur

SULPHUR, LA (KPLC) - A detective with the Combined Anti-Drug Task Force (C.A.T.) made a cocaine bust on Interstate 10 near Sulphur today during a routine traffic stop around 9 a.m. Monday morning.

Investigators say 44-year-old Kendall Footman of Daytona Beach Florida began to act suspiciously when detectives spoke with him. Detectives searched Footman and found over a pound of cocaine with an estimated street value of between $7,000 and $9,000.

The detective also found a small amount of marijuana in Footman's clothing. Footman was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with possession of cocaine and marijuana.

His bond is set at $22,250.
