Joe Downs comes to KPLC bringing more than a decade's worth of experience in sports broadcasting to the Lake Area.
Joe began his career behind the camera, as a videographer in his hometown of Portland, Maine. He has worked as a sportscaster in Grand Junction, Colorado, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Harrisonburg, Virginia, and Lima, Ohio.
In his career, Joe has covered everything from the NFL and NHL playoffs to the FCS College Football championship game to professional rodeo. However, Joe's passion lies in high school and small college athletics. Whether it's on the gridiron, the hardwoods, or the diamond, he loves the purity of competition.
Joe looks forward to continuing the tradition of great high school coverage that KPLC has always delivered to it's viewers and to making the Lake Area his home.
