Sam Gannon comes to us from NBC Connecticut in Hartford, where she worked behind-the-scenes in both news and sports. While she is a UConn Husky at heart, she is excited to immerse herself in the southern Louisiana sports scene.
Sam attended the University of Connecticut (2005-2009), where she swam for the varsity swim team her freshman year. During her junior and senior years, Samantha served as the sports reporter for UCTV-the student-run television station, where she covered everything UConn; including the 2009 UConn women's basketball championship in St. Louis.
Sam is thrilled to begin her career at KPLC-TV and believes there is nothing like telling a great sports story.
