LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - The McNeese Cowboys led Texas A&M by 7 points at halftime, but the Aggies were too much in the second half as they came back to win 66-57.
P.J. Alawoya and Patrick Richard led the way for the Pokes, both scoring 12 points. Alawoya also added 8 rebounds.
McNeese's biggest lead was 10 points in the first half, and they led by 5 with 14 minutes left in the second. Texas A&M then went on a 14-3 run and never surrendered their lead.
The loss drops McNeese's record to 8-5. The Cowboys will return to action on January 8th against Texas A&M Corpus Christi at Burton Coliseum. That game will be their Southland Conference opener.
