LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - It was an emotional reunion as men and women of the 256th Infantry Brigade, in the Louisiana National Guard, returned home. After serving in Iraq for nearly a year the brave men and woman are glad to be back with family. Around 10 men and women returned home to DeQuincy, and approximately 65 arrived home in Lake Charles. After being gone for so long many of the guardsmen commented on how much they have missed.

"You Skype and talk everyday, but nothing comes close to holding your kid, and kissing your wife," said Paul Leger in the Louisiana National Guard.
