Pokes stay undefeated at home

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -The McNeese State Cowboys remain perfect at home this season, beating Sacramento State in overtime, 65-63.  The Pokes were down 63-62 with :17 seconds left in overtime, until Jeremie Mitchell hit a three pointer to give them at two point lead and the win.  Leading scorer Patrick Richard, who was hurt in last Thursday's game against LSU did not suit up for this game.

Stephan Martin, who started for Richard, led the way with 15 points, followed by CJ Collins with 12, and Diego Kapelan with 10.  P. J. Alawoya continued his success on the boards with a game high eight rebounds.

McNeese will host the University of Southwest in a double header Tuesday, December 19th at Burton Coliseum.  The girls are scheduled for 5pm and the boys will follow right after.
